I've been learning the Violin and more recently the Viola with Anna for the last two and a half years as an adult learner. She's taken my playing from nothing to grade 5 violin, grade 4 viola in that time. The lessons have always been enjoyable, challenging, going at the pace that suited me. Moving faster with the parts I could do, and spending more time on parts I found difficult, with looking at ways in detail to improve my sound and technique. During the pandemic, her on line lessons were every bit as good. We covered classical, Folk, Jazz and pretty much anything else I fancied trying. I would highly recommend Anna, her lessons were always a highlight of the week, and one of the fastest hours. Possibly my greatest challenge in violin so far, now she's moving to the U.A.E is to find another tutor as good as Anna.

My son started violin lessons with Anna 2 years 5 months ago when he was 14. He was a complete beginner with almost no musical knowledge or experience at all.

Last week he reached Grade 5 distinction level!

Anna is a wonderful teacher! She's lovely to work with: respectful, intuitive, responsive, fun and encouraging whilst bringing out the absolute best in her students. She has a lot of knowledge about different learning styles, so she can adapt to the unique individual but she does it with such grace and lightness of touch that it seems effortless: which you can only achieve when you're very skilled.

My son feels totally at ease with her: not an easy thing to achieve with a teenager but Anna has made hard work feel enjoyable. Anna knows when to relax the pressure in response to nerves or circumstance, whilst at the same time continuing to move forward.

As a parent, she's been a delight to work with too.
